Javier Busto’s “Ave Maria” is among the pieces Choir of the Sound will be singing at our holiday shows next weekend. Although Busto sang and played in various folk and rock bands in his youth, he was originally trained as a medical doctor before entering the world of choral conducting and composition. He still works in family medicine. Busto founded two award-winning choirs in the Basque region of Spain. He has written numerous sacred songs, many of which are in his native Basque tongue, and continues to be elicited for choral juries worldwide.
